Our History Founded by brothers John, Jim and David Allen, our firm embodies teamwork, trust and family values. In 2003, David Allen stepped away from the firm and began serving the community as a circuit court judge. Jim and John Allen embraced this change with one of their own – an aggressive expansion that moved the firm’s primary office to the heart of Greektown. We expanded our ranks of talented attorneys and ventured into additional practice areas. Allen Brothers, PLLC is now powered by more than 100 years of combined legal experience, and though we have grown beyond the original three brothers to serve our clients’ needs, we continue to maintain the intimacy, trust and cooperative spirit of family. Committed to Our Clients In and Out of the Courtroom In Michigan’s state and federal courts, the likelihood that a case will go to trial is less than two percent, meaning that an entire generation of lawyers has practiced law without litigating a matter to a verdict. Those statistics say a lot about how we represent our clients, too. We investigate the facts and the law of each case thoroughly, understanding that most battles are fought and won during discovery, in mediation, and at the negotiating table. Because most litigators with 20 or fewer years in the practice of law have little or no trial experience, they lack skills and knowledge necessary for evaluating cases for settlement, fail to appreciate the client’s exposure and risk, and offer unsound and uninformed advice. That’s not us. Allen Brothers’ attorneys try an average of three to four cases each year – more than many of our colleagues at other firms try in a career – giving us greater perspective and enabling us to better counsel and represent the clients who rely on us to deliver results.
