A partner in Allen Brothers, PLLC, David is the consummate litigator. As a Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor, a Special Assistant Attorney General, and counsel for large commercial entities, he developed a winning way with judges and juries alike, and is known for his thoughtful and thoroughly prepared cross-examinations.
David also possesses a wealth of experience in real estate and business transactions. As a former Associate Corporate Counsel for First American Title Insurance Co., he counseled the company across a range of legal needs, and managed its acquisition of the Graimark Development Project, now known as Jefferson Village, which was at one point the largest single-family home development project in the country. He was also responsible for underwriting, clearing title, and consummating all real estate transactions between private owners and the developer.
Another important part of David’s practice is municipal law. Since 2011, he has served as the City Attorney for the City of Inkster, a role in which he manages a multitude of legal matters involving real property, banking and finance, contracts and procurement, labor and employment, litigation, environmental law, and land use and zoning.
David received his undergraduate degree in Corporate Finance from Wayne State University, and his law degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan’s Public Corporation Law and Litigation Sections, the Wolverine Bar Association, and the National Bar Association, and is active in his community as a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Incorporated. On many nights and weekends, David can be found on the basketball court as a high school and college referee, and on the gridiron as a high school football official.
